Modern Music Festivals
Modern music festivals are very different from the music festivals of the 1900's. Nowadays, there are very few Rock or Jazz festivals. The majority of modern music festivals cover the world of Electronic Dance Music (EDM). These festivals are usually intense and packed with all kinds of people. Modern EDM festivals make millions of dollars a year, which allows artists to be extremely liberal with their effects. Modern EDM festivals use an entire arsenal of lighting and pyrotechnics in order to make their shows interesting and fun for all the participants.
Example of Indoor EDM Festival (Excision)
Modern EDM festivals, commonly called raves, bring in multiple EDM artists from an entire spectrum of EDM sub-genres, but they all have one thing in common, they are really fun for everyone involved. Some individual artists have now begun to host their own music festivals. Excision's Lost Lands Festival, for example, was built and produced by Excision and his staff, but he invited other artists and rented an entire festival ground to make his concert a full on, three day festival. 2017 was the first year we saw the Lost Lands Music Festival, and due to its overwhelming popularity, we are sure to see it again in 2018.
